We are looking for an experienced PAS Developer with a background in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance. Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and integrating policy administration platforms while working closely with business analysts, QA, and product owners to deliver effective insurance solutions. This position is based out of our Home Office in Flint, Michigan with the current hybrid work schedule:
- Monday and Friday: optional WFH
- Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday: in-person at home office location
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain PAS modules for policy quoting, issuance, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations.
- Customize and configure PAS platforms (e.g., Duck Creek).
- Implement Personal and Commercial Lines product rate change in PAS.
- Integrate PAS with other core systems (billing, claims, website, data warehouse).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable code and perform unit/integration testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and defects.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in IT, with at least 2 years in PAS development.
- Hands-on experience with one or more PAS platforms (Guidewire, Duck Creek, etc.).
- Proficiency in C#, .NET and .NET Framework
- XML/XSLT/JSON
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and system integrations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server
- Familiarity with P&C insurance workflows and terminology.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
