The Pioneer Advantage Plus
While we’ve always offered The Pioneer Advantage as a bundle of great coverages at a low cost, this is an upgrade to that package. It includes:
Home Cyber Protection
Provides $25,000 coverage limits for Cyber Attack, Cyber Extortion, Online Fraud, Data Breach or Identity Recovery costs incurred as the direct result of any one occurrence.
Backup of Sewers or Drains
This provides $15,000 coverage limits for a direct loss caused by water which backs up through sewers or drains, or water which enters into and overflows from within a sump pump or other type of system designed to remove subbsurface water that has drained from the foundation area.
Appliance Seepage or Leakage
Provides coverage for loss due to constant or repeated leakage/seepage of water within your residence’s plumbing, heating, air conditioning, or sprinkler system (or other domestic appliance). Only hidden leakage/seepage which is not identifiable upon casual inspection is covered, with a limit of $10,000.
Refrigerated Products
Your policy comes standard with a $250 limit for covered losses of your refrigerated products. The Pioneer Advantage increases that limit by $250.
Fire Department Service Charge
Your policy comes standard with a $500 limit to pay for fees from your fire department related to covered losses. The Pioneer Advantage increases that limit by $500.
Tree Removal
Your policy comes standard with a $500 limit for the removal of (any one) damaged tree related to covered losses. The Pioneer Advantage increases that limit by $500.
Residence Glass
For an additional premium, we cover glass while permanently attached to the residence premises for loss:
- caused by breakage of glass or chemicals applied to glass, including damage to the frame enclosing the glass;
- for making temporary installations; and
- removing and replacing obstructions because of loss to glass.
Ordinance or Law Coverage
This coverage adds a limit of 10% of your policy’s Coverage A limit for additional costs incurred when required by ordinance or law and a covered loss is involved.
Bed Bug Remediation Coverage
This coverage will pay up to $500 for hiring a licensed pest control contractor to treat an infestation of bed bugs. Coverage does not include the cost of hiring a professional to determine if an infestation exists, or pay for cleaning, replacing, or repairing damaged/contaminated property.
Theft from Self-Storage Unit Coverage
Your policy automatically includes a limit of $2,000 for theft of personal property being kept in a locked self-storage unit. The Pioneer Renters Advantage adds $8,000 to that limit for a total of $10,000 in coverage.
Mortgage Extra Expense Coverage
This endorsement adds coverage for:
- Up to $1,000 in Acquisition Costs for title search fees, appraisal fees, and application fees.
- Up to $250 per month for Additional Monthly Mortgage Expenses on a replacement dwelling due to a higher interest rate for the same principal amount as the first mortgage for the shorter of the following:
• 4 years from the date of the first payment
• the date following the first payment on which your ownership or legal control of the replacement dwelling is transferred.
Mortgage Expense payments are made semi-annually, and your policy deductible applies to this coverage.

When combined with our Extended or Guaranteed Replacement Cost endorsements, Pioneer Advantage Plus offers coverage comparable to an HO-5 policy.
