If you follow along on our social media, you have likely seen our posts that end in #TELLYOURAGENT. If you don’t check in on our social media regularly, you should. We’ve got some useful stuff out there!
Moving along…
If you have seen these posts you know that there are a lot of life changes, big and small, that warrant having a conversation with your agent. While some changes may seem minor, they may have an influence on the type of coverage you need. Endorsements may need to be added, limits may need to be increased, and being on top of making these changes could save you in the long run.
So, what kinds of changes rise to the level of #TELLYOURAGENT? Well, rather than having you scroll back through years of our social media posts to find all of them, being the super cool insurance company we are, we have compiled a list. It’s not a comprehensive list, obviously, but it gives you the gist of when you should check on your coverage:
TELL YOUR AGENT if you…
- are driving for a rideshare or delivery service
- are upgrading or renovating your home
- purchase of a new boat, ATV, or recreational vehicle
- are using your home for purposes other than your residence
- are planning on moving or have recently moved
- pay off your mortgage
- purchase high value jewelry
- have any up-and-coming drivers
Now, as with most things if you ever have any concerns or doubts as to whether your agent should be notified, the best thing to do is to ask! Your agent is there to assist you with all of your insurance needs, and they are happy to answer any questions you may have. Trust us when we say your agent and your insurance company would rather you ask the question than open yourself up to a potential risk.
Knowledge is power and the more we know the better you can be protected!
