Ok friends. St Patrick’s Day. Let’s talk about it. We get it, St Patrick’s Day is a time for celebration. Whether you make the trek to Boston to enjoy their famous St Patrick’s Day parade, take the train to Chicago to watch the river run green, meet some friends for a night on the town, or have a gathering at your home we want to make sure that you and your loved ones make it home safely.

While the pots of gold and four leaf clovers may seem like good luck charms, this day of festivities can quickly turn un-lucky if you don’t celebrate carefully.

Bluntly, if you are questioning whether it is safe for you to drive after consuming any amount of alcohol a good reminder from The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is that “Buzzed Driving is Drunk Driving.” Driving while under the influence or intoxicated can turn a night of merriment into a night of tragedy. So please plan to celebrate responsibly – have a designated driver for the evening, utilize a ride sharing service or app to get to and from where you need to be, or if possible plan on staying overnight at the place you’re celebrating.

We know what you’re thinking, “we’ve heard this a million times” and “we get it, don’t drink and drive,” but a little reminder is always nice, right? Just take this as bit of advice- enjoy your evening, get decked out in green from head to toe, don’t drink and drive, and have a very Happy St Patrick’s Day!
